Letter To Marketing Budget: A writer’s plight

Dear marketing budget,

I really don’t understand what went wrong between us. I thought I was an integral part of your life, but then you ignored me in every discussion. It hurts a lot when you don’t even look at me. I never raised a question about your fling with digital marketing and your obsession with analytics.

You spent millions on your affair with TV, and Outdoor while I kept longing for some thousands. Remember the time when a crooked campaign pushed you into depression; I saved your life and your job. Your family members – jargon, big data, and app let you down when you needed them the most. Who saved your a** then?

All I want to say is that your ignorance is my only bliss. When you hate me the most, I try to help you more. But I wish that you could understand my value and share some part of you with me. Even your 1% affection will be enough to motivate me to do better and push harder.

PS: I miss you a lot when a writer yells on me and hits me in the face.

Only yours,
